Some of the work that follows has been executed during my former stint as the creative head of a leading event management company. I conceptualized all the films and directed and produced a few. In most cases, the clients gave me a broad mandate. I worked closely with them to identify specific needs. Based on requirements, I choose from a variety of resources that best suit the project.

Social Impact Film | The Microgrid Project

Behlolpur is a village about 40 Kilometres from Patna, Bihar's state capital.  It is a remote island and takes about 4 hours to reach by road. Closer to the village, visitors need to leave their vehicles at the banks of the River Ganga and take a boat across. On the other side of the river, a driver with a 4 wheel pick up can ferry visitors to the village.

Behlolpur faces several issues: poverty, illiteracy, lack of medical facilities chief among them. The most educated villager is a woman who passed 10th grade. Every year the Ganga floods its banks and the village is inundated. Cases of women dying during childbirth is common.

But now, with a microgrid coming up, things could change for the better. And fast...  

Inclusion and Diversity | IBM

A film highlighting the culture of Inclusion and Diversity within IBM, shot with real employees of IBM India. The film took 10 days to deliver - from conception to execution

Employee Anthems | NOVELL

BRIEF: Create an interactive activity for, of and by the employees of Novell that strengthen the bond between the employees and the company.

EXECUTION: We involved the employees in the creation of a music video, auditioning them for voices, composing the song with Grammy Award winning music director, Ricky Kej and shooting a music video. Activities like face painting and music workshops enhanced the experience.    

RESULT: More than 500 employees participated enthusiastically in the music video. Teasers of the video helped increase attendance at the annual day where the anthem was premiered. The activity garnered an award under the category ‘best live event of the year’ in the prestigious 'WOW' awards.

Product Launch Film | TITAN DUCATI WATCH COLLECTION

BRIEF: Create a product film for the Titan Ducati range of watches to be posted online. Showcase how the watch reflects Ducati's design sensibilities.

EXECUTION: Shoot with a 4k resolution camera with many shots taken in slow-motion. Extensive post production work to remove minor blemishes on the watch face and highlight features

RESULT: With 230,847 views, the watch collection film is one of Titan’s most watched on YouTube. The film has more views than several of Titan’s advertisement films executed at higher budgets

Brand Anthem | KPL

BRIEF: Create a film for the launch of Karnataka premier league. Titled ‘Namma KPL’ the film was to make people of Karnataka proud of the sport and themselves.

EXECUTION: An anthem was composed in Kannada by the Grammy Award winning director Ricky Kej. The music video featured people across all walks of life; from film personalities to farmers. Shot at locations across Karnataka, the shoot took 7 days. The entire project took 3 weeks.  

RESULT: The anthem was frequently airing on television and radio. It was also played at live events (matches and a press conference) and was posted on YouTube, where it became viral. The anthem won an EEMAX award under the category ‘Best Use of Digital Marketing’.

Rewards & Recognition | BIAL

BRIEF: Showcase how the smooth functioning of the airport is dependent on great co-ordination between various departments / stakeholders. Make every stakeholder proud of contributing to the larger picture

EXECUTION: A 4-day shoot with a 2 camera setup covered every aspect of the airports functioning. Time-lapse footage, infrastructure shots and candid emotions / expressions were captured to make the film impactful.

Facility Showcase | SAP

BRIEF: Create a video for the launch of a facility

EXECUTION: Shot in a day with 4K camera and jibs. Graphics on screen to enhance the film and showcase the high-Tech feel
