About Me

Welcome to the Light of Day, where inspiration is sparked, and ideas realised.

I am George G. Podipara, founder of the The Light of Day. I have over two decades of experience in business development, creative direction, and script writing in event management and corporate film making.

In my last stint as the creative head of a leading event management company, I realised the immense potential films have to complement a host of live event experiences. I pioneered a few concepts and had a few successes:

Music videos featuring employees of corporates; with a spotlight on their talent (lyric writing, singing and dancing), guided by professionals. Over eight corporates including Microsoft, 3M, Novell, Titan and Allegis had anthems composed. The Novell Anthem won a ‘WOW’ award.

A brand anthem for a sporting event. The KPL (Karnataka Premiere League) anthem was composed by Grammy Award winning musician Ricky Kej. The video went viral and the anthem won an ‘EEMAX’ award for ‘Best use of Digital Marketing’.

My success encouraged me to focus on what I most enjoyed - creating films to complement live experiences.

And so, the Light of Day was born. We are a team of professionals that come together and collaborate based on the unique requirements of each assignment. In under two years, we have produced films across genres for corporates such as BIAL, Titan Company, SAP and GE, besides a few leading Event Management companies. Some of these films have been delivered for clients in international geographies: North America, Asia Pacific, Australia and New Zealand. Almost all of them have been conceived and scripted by me.
